Participating in Mediation. Most Texas counties require mediation before parties can proceed to trial in a family law matter. Almost all judges in Harris, Montgomery, and Fort Bend County impose this requirement. Mediation is a process in which a third party “neutral”, the mediator, is selected to assist the parties and in the resolution of their family law case through a settlement session conducted by the mediator. Any agreement reached in mediation is binding, meaning your case is concluded without the necessity of a trial. The Jenkins & Kamin, LLP team are experienced in the art of preparing for and executing a successful mediation.

Mediating Disputes. Jo Jenkins and Deborah Wright are also certified mediators and offer their services to assist other attorneys and litigants in resolving family law matters through the alternative dispute resolution process.
